Livermore Eco Watchdogs is a grassroots environmental organization to specifically halt the expansion of a pre-existing oil well (E&B Natural Resources) from expanding into 50+ acres of land that included aquifers. Succeeded on July 24, 2018 after a two year battle, helping make Alameda County a fossil free county. Duties: create and develop a website, and email structure. Help source news and scientific documents for the education of the group and general public. Develop outreach through local petition signing events, social media, build membership, assist with branding, write letters to the editor, create signage, set up weekly conference calls, dispense meeting agendas and minutes to core group, send out email blasts to larger contingency, meet with elected officials, attend meetings, set up special events. Membership was approximately 450.
